NOTICE: ELECTRONIC FINGERPRINTING
Beginning May 21, 2008 applications for Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco licensure will be required to have criminal background check(s) performed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement electronically. Each applicant shall submit electronic fingerprints through the department’s vendor PearsonVue. You may contact PearsonVue at www.vue.com or call at 1-877 238-8232. Additional information regarding this service will be available prior to implementation at www.myflorida.com/dbpr/abt/faq.html.
To provide for applications that may have been in route at the time of this announcement, we will continue to accept the hard copy version for fingerprints until June 15th.
Electronic fingerprinting reduces the likelihood of illegible fingerprints or missing information on the fingerprint card and may reduce the overall application processing time.
We appreciate your assistance in converting to the new process.
